(Assignment 3) Chapter 1 Night Questions

  1. Who is Moishe/Moche the Beadle, describe him.
  2. Why did Eliezer cry when he prayed?
  3. When Moishe/Moche returned what did he tell?
  4. Why didn't people believe him?

  1. He was poor and lived in utter penury. He was an insignificant and invisible man. Physically as awkward as a clown.
  2. He really wasn't sure why he would cry while he prayed. something inside him just had the need to cry.
  3. He went telling his story about where they took then and what they did. He spoke only of what he had seen.
  4. Because people thought that he just wanted pity and for them to feel sorry for him.
