Cattle Car Complex (Assignment 3)

The short story I have read is about a guy named Adam Posner. Adam fears of being left alone in the dark, and he also suffers from claustrophobia. When he was leaving from his office he had noticed that he was the last one to leave so then he had to take the elevator alone. That is the worst for Adam because he doesn't like to be left alone and the elevator is very small. Well, while he was in his elevator going down it gets stuck. He starts to panic and he starts thinking that he is back in the days where the whole Nazi and Jewish stuff was going on. He was thinking they had planned everything and he was really in a cattle car. When the security realizes that he is stuck he starts yelling "Are ya all okay down there?", and Adam starts yelling "How can we be? you guys have us stuck in this cage that's made for animals!". Adam starts going ballistics and is thinking stuff that's not really going on. Towards the end they rescue him and get him out.

Assignment 10

I really like useing the blogger for assignments because its more intresting and way better then being in class bored. It's also cool because we can see the other classmaits work, and it's usually intresting reading what the have to say about the book and the things from their point of view.

(Assignment 8) Lakshmi

Lakshmi is a very strong girl, she isn't scared to stand up for what she believes in. If she dosn't want to do it she wont. For example wen they put her in the room with the guys she did not let her self at all. She fought, kicked, pushed, and even bit to get out of there. She never gives up, she wont give up, if she wants it she will get it. But i dont mean in a bratty selfish way, i mean in a confident way.

(Assignment 7) Something to read and think about...

Seeing the pictures of the brothel is kind of scary in my prospective. The brothels seems so dark and plain... it kind of reminds me of a haunted abandent house. Seeing what Gita did to Beauty reminds me of when Mumtaz beat Lakshmi. Then some girls look very young and its like a heart breaker seeing wat they actually go through in there. Honestly I never thought the prostitution buisness was like that untill i read the book and saw these pictures. I actually thought they would get freedom but they don't they are like dogs that are caged and only let out when they need to attack. Then Beauty has to make her coustomers THINK she is in LOVE with them just so they can come back and so she can see her 5 year old son is really sad. These pictures remined me of the book in so many ways and it actually does happen in REAL life.

(Assignment 6) UNICEF
